My Mission

My mission:
Delivering help and hope for (displaced) Syrian families inside Syria that are otherwise forgotten and ignored.

Previously 600 blankets and 1.300 food boxes have been delivered to civlian displaced families in and around Aleppo.
For details, hover with your mouse around the Donation Counter.

Basically, I did and will bring the help into Syria. Many Syrians have fled to neighbouring countries (Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan), but even more stayed within their own country for various reasons (language barriers, economic barriers, crossing the border, and so on).
Whatever the exact reason, they need help, and the help from the international community and NGOs is highly limited within Syria.
I decided I am willingly enough to bring the help into Syria.

As for my personal motivation, let me start off with speaking about myself, and you'll understand.
I finished a one-year university exchange programme in South-Korea and decided to backpack my way home back to the Netherlands overland. I ended up in Turkey for some reason while I was just beginning to realize that all of us, Christian or Muslim, black or yellow, spoiled or orphan, are all brothers and sisters in the end. And let me tell you one thing, there's a big gap between knowing this, and realizing this.
By some twist of fate, not much later, I read a news article about Syrian domestic refugees (IDPs), saying there wouldn't be enough blankets for them for the upcoming winter.

Not surprisingly, much more was needed than just blankets. But it made me realize than many of my brothers and sisters, caught up in some civil war they never wanted, need help after being beaten up by so many sides.

Put simply, for the fact that they are human, just like you and just like me, they deserve a certain standard of living, a feeling of being cared about, being loved, and not being forgotten.

That is my mission. That is why I help. That is why I ask you to help Syria. Donate, please!
